In Cherkasy, casualties and damage have been reported as a result of the falling debris from Russian missiles. Rescue operations are currently underway, according to Ihor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

"Early this morning, the enemy launched a missile strike on the regional center. As a result of air defense systems operating, there was debris falling in the central part of the city, causing damage to a social infrastructure facility," the official wrote.

Cherkasy Regional Military Administration officials have confirmed that at least one person is trapped under the rubble, and a rescue operation is ongoing.

Today, on the morning of September 21, Russian forces launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. The cities affected include Kyiv, Rivne, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi. The air defense systems were activated in some regions.
