Russian missile attack on Ukraine's Balakliia: One woman killed and several injured

Russian forces carried out a missile strike on Balakliia in the Kharkiv region. They hit an area near an apartment building, killing a woman, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, on Telegram.
According to Syniehubov, the attack killed a 70-year-old woman. Also injured were women aged 79, 78, 35, and 60. They have been hospitalized.
A 68-year-old woman also suffered an acute stress reaction.
"According to preliminary information, a missile struck the ground near a five-story residential building. A fire broke out in one of the apartments. A parked car is also on fire," the head of the regional military administration clarified.
He noted that rescue units and medical teams are working at the scene.
Strikes on Kharkiv
On the night of October 1, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and the region with missiles and guided bombs.
The attack sparked a fire at the Barabashovo market in Kharkiv. At the same time, a residential building was destroyed in the Saltivskyi district.
At least six people were injured as a result of the Russian strikes.
Today, the Russian army also carried out a massive strike on Ukraine’s energy facilities. Against this backdrop, rolling blackouts have been introduced in the Chernihiv region.
