Fire at local market and residential building destroyed in Kharkiv after Russia's attack

During the night of October 1, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and the surrounding region with guided aerial bombs and missiles. The strikes caused fires in shopping pavilions, as well as destruction and injuries, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"At night, Russia launched strikes with guided aerial bombs and missiles on Kharkiv, its suburbs, and the Chuhuiv district," the State Emergency Service reported.
Rescuers said the consequences in Kharkiv were recorded in two districts - Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi. In particular:

In the Kyivskyi district, shopping pavilions caught fire across an area of 2,800 square meters. According to SES photos and local media reports, the Barabashovo market was among the sites that burned.

In the Saltivskyi district, a residential building was destroyed, followed by a fire. Garages were also damaged and caught fire over an area of 350 square meters.
According to the State Emergency Service, there were five people injured in the city, although a few hours earlier, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported six injured.
"The fires have been contained, and cleanup operations are ongoing. SES units, deminers, psychologists, dog handlers, and volunteer firefighters are working at the scene," rescuers concluded.
Strikes on Kharkiv
A few days earlier, on the evening of September 26, Russian forces also attacked Kharkiv.
Russia struck a shopping center with a drone, damaging a municipal bus carrying passengers. Four people were injured in that attack.
Earlier, during the night of September 23–24, Kharkiv was massively attacked by drones. The assault caused at least 17 explosions, fires, and power outages across several districts of the city.
