Drone raid on Kharkiv triggers at least 17 blasts

Russian forces continued a large-scale drone attack on Kharkiv, sparking a fire in the city and leaving at least one civilian injured.

More than dozen explosions
Russian forces launched a Shahed drone attack on Kharkiv at around 20:00. Local authorities reported explosions in the city and urged residents to stay in shelters.
Within ten minutes, a series of blasts shook the city.
Two districts under attack, fire breaks out
Two districts of Kharkiv, Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi, came under Russian fire.
A total of 17 explosions were later reported in the city. The main strike, about 16 blasts, hit the Kholodnohirskyi district.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a drone strike sparked a fire. Power outages were reported in some neighborhoods.
Civilian injured in attack
A 24-year-old man sustained blast injuries as a result of the strikes. He was hospitalized, and doctors are providing him with the necessary medical assistance.
Threat of new attacks
At 10:39 PM Kyiv time, new groups of drones were detected in the eastern part of the Kharkiv region, heading west and southwest.
At 00:34 AM Kyiv time, additional UAV groups were spotted in the north of the region, moving south toward Kharkiv.
At 01:14 AM Kyiv time, another explosion was heard in Kharkiv, reportedly outside the city. Details are not yet known.

Russian air attacks
The mass Shahed drone assault on Kharkiv began at around 08:00 PM Kyiv time on September 23.
According to the latest reports, about 16 explosions struck the Kholodnohirskyi district. Power outages have been recorded in the city.
The previous night, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv with drones, damaging a critical infrastructure facility.
A day earlier in Zaporizhzhia, guided aerial bombs hit the city, damaging civilian infrastructure and killing one person.
On the afternoon of September 23, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia again.
