Russian losses mounting: Ukrainian army reports successes in Tavria direction
Ukrainian fighters in the Tavria direction continue to inflict losses on the Russian invaders. Thus, over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 700 occupiers and 51 units of enemy military equipment, reported Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group.
"The enemy's losses in manpower and armored vehicles are increasing - 8 tanks have been destroyed, and the total loss in manpower is more than 700 people," Tarnavskyi says.
In the operational zone of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group, the enemy carried out 11 airstrikes, carried out 56 combat engagements, and fired 973 artillery barrages.
Ukrainian defenders are firmly holding the defense in the Avdiivka direction.
At the same time, an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction continues.
The total losses of the enemy for the day amounted to 706 people.
Ukrainian fighters also destroyed 51 units of Russian military equipment, including:
- 8 tanks;
- 13 armored combat vehicles;
- 8 artillery systems;
- 2 air defense vehicles;
- 15 UAVs;
- 5 cars.
Another 44 enemy vehicles were damaged.
In addition, 2 ammunition depots and 4 important enemy facilities were destroyed.
The situation at the front
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of November 22, the defense forces of Ukraine are continuing their assault south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction. They are holding defenses in the Avdiivka area. 74 combat clashes took place on the last day.
From the Institute for the Study of War report, it is known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region. The Russian army claims that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking near Poima, Pishchanivka, Pidstepove, Antonivskyi highway, and the railway bridge.
Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of the morning of Thursday, November 23, are 1,130 occupiers, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 321,800 troops. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 20 tanks, 36 armored combat vehicles, and 33 artillery systems.
