Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of the morning of Thursday, November 23, amounted to 1,130 occupiers, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 321,800 soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces destroyed 20 tanks, 36 armored vehicles, and 33 artillery systems, reports the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to November 22, 2023, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: About 321,800 (+1130) individuals;
  • Tanks: 5,466 (+20) units;
  • Armored personnel vehicles (APV): 10,224 (+36) units;
  • Artillery systems: 7,802 (+33) units;
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 902 (+3) units;
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 591 (+2) units;
  • Aircraft: 323 units;
  • Helicopters: 324 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 5,799 (+15) units;
  • Cruise missiles: 1,564 units;
  • Warships/boats: 22 units;
  • Submarines: 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 10,198 (+39) units;
  • Special equipment: 1,107 (+7) units.

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff, as of the morning of November 22, the defense forces of Ukraine are continuing their assault south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, and are holding defenses in the Avdiivka area. 74 combat clashes took place last day.

From the report of the Institute for the Study of War, it is known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region. The Russian army claims that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking near Poima, Pishchanivka, Pidstepove, Antonivskyi highway, and the railway bridge.
