On the morning of February 23, a missile carrier was detected in the Black Sea by the military, which Russia has again kept on combat duty. This means that Ukraine faces the threat of shelling once more, reports the Ukrainian Navy.

As of 06:00 Kyiv time, there is 1 Russian ship in the Black Sea, which is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total of up to 4 missiles onboard.

At the same time, no enemy ships are present in the Sea of Azov.

However, in the Mediterranean Sea, 4 Russian ships were spotted, 3 of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 26 missiles.

Additionally, over the past 24 hours, in Russia's interest, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:

  • to the Black Sea - 0 vessels;
  • to the Azov Sea - 8 vessels, 3 of which were moving from the Bosporus Strait.

"Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling Automatic Identification Systems," the military command added.

On the morning of February 22, Russia also deployed a ship with Kalibr missiles onboard to the Black Sea. Ships with Kalibr missiles are on duty almost every day.
