A Russian combat helicopter Ka-52 crashed in the Azov Sea on September 1, according to the Telegram channel Baza.

According to sources, the helicopter went down in the waters of the Azov Sea on September 1, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the coastline.

The preliminary cause of the crash appears to be adverse weather conditions, as the area was experiencing heavy fog.

It is reported that there were two crew members on board the Ka-52. They were evacuated during a rescue operation.

Emergency situations in Russia

This is not the only recent incident involving helicopter crashes in Russia.

On August 29, a Mi-8 helicopter owned by the Russian Federal Security Service crashed in the Chelyabinsk region, resulting in the loss of all three people on board.

Also, on July 27, a Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the Altai region, resulting in the deaths of six individuals.
