Russian jet-powered drone hits near residential high-rise in Sumy: Injuries reported

"Russian forces struck a residential area of Sumy with a drone this evening. Preliminary information indicates that the enemy used a jet-powered UAV. A multi-story apartment building was damaged as a result of the impact," Hryhorov said.
He noted that at least two people were initially reported injured and were receiving all necessary assistance. Kobzar added that the strike sparked a fire.
All relevant emergency services are working at the scene, and efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.
Hryhorov warned that the threat of additional strikes remains and urged residents to stay in safe locations.
Later, Kobzar reported that the number of people injured in the enemy drone attack had risen to three — a woman and two children.
"One child was taken to the hospital. Information about their condition is being clarified. The other child and the woman received medical assistance without hospitalization," he said.
Ukraine's National Police said officers are documenting the aftermath of the Russian drone attack.
"As a result of the strike, a multi-story residential building was damaged. Three people are currently known to have been injured, including two children. One child has been hospitalized," police said.

Police investigative teams are working at the impact site, collecting evidence for further investigation
On the night of July 17, Russian forces carried out another large-scale attack on Sumy. The enemy dropped five guided aerial bombs on the city, damaging civilian infrastructure.
Two days earlier, on July 15, Russian troops struck densely populated areas of Sumy. More than 20 people were injured in the guided bomb attack, several of them seriously.
On the same day, Russian aircraft also attacked other settlements in the Sumy community. The occupiers dropped six guided aerial bombs on a crowded area, killing civilians and injuring dozens more.
