Russian shelling continues in the Zaporizhzhia region, damaging civilian infrastructure and injuring people. On the morning of September 17, a new accident occurred, leaving one person wounded, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reports.

In the village of Prymorske, Vasylivka district of Zaporizhzhia region, an enemy FPV drone struck a minibus, injuring one person.

According to Fedorov, the victim is receiving all necessary medical assistance immediately.

The vehicle was parked at the time of the strike, and as a result, the bus was damaged.

During the night of September 15-16, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Zaporizhzhia, causing fires, damage to infrastructure, and civilian injuries. Starting at 11:09 p.m. local time, when the air raid alert was declared in the region, warnings were issued about possible use of guided aerial bombs, and later, about the risk of cruise missiles. At least twice during the night, series of explosions sounded across the region, with the city itself also coming under attack.

Furthermore, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) team recorded shelling near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, once again emphasizing the constant threat to nuclear safety amid the war in Ukraine. According to the IAEA report dated September 16, several artillery shells landed outside the plant, about 400 meters from the diesel fuel storage site. After the strikes, observers recorded black smoke in three locations around the station, underscoring the high danger and the urgent need for strict control of the situation.
