Russian forces strike Zaporizhzhia: Buildings damaged, people trapped under rubble

On the evening of May 6, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with Shahed drones. As a result of the strike, buildings were damaged, and people were trapped under the rubble, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"Due to the Russian attack, buildings in the city have been damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that people are trapped under the rubble. Emergency services are heading to the impact sites," Fedorov said.
According to him, a fire broke out in one of the city's districts as a result of the enemy attack.
Preliminary reports suggest that the Russian forces targeted an infrastructure facility. Information on casualties is being clarified.

According to Fedorov, the Russian forces launched at least 13 strikes on Zaporizhzhia. There is damage in various parts of the city, and several fires have occurred.
A private house was also destroyed. Preliminary reports indicate that two people are trapped under the rubble.
Attack on Ukraine on May 6
On the night of May 6, the Russian army launched 136 strike drones and drone imitators against Ukraine from six different directions.
The air defense forces managed to destroy 54 Shahed-type drones in the east, north, south, and center of the country. Additionally, 70 drone imitators were lost in specific locations without any negative consequences.
As a result of the attack, the Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were affected.
In particular, four districts of Kharkiv were hit during today’s attack. The local Barabashovo market in the city also caught fire.
