Russian forces carried out a strike with three drones on a hospital in Semenivka on the evening of January 1. The number of casualties and the extent of the damage are currently being clarified.

This was reported by the head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District State Administration, Oleksandr Seliverstov.

"Russian terrorists have just struck a hospital in Semenivka with three drones. Information on casualties and the scale of destruction is being clarified," wrote Oleksandr Seliverstov.

The local administration also noted that residents and medical staff are in a state of heightened alert, and the hospital has partially suspended operations.

The attack is part of a broader pattern of Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, including hospitals and schools. Previous attacks on medical facilities have already been recorded, underscoring the scale of the threat to civilians.

Earlier today, Seliverstov reported an emergency in Semenivka. Since midday, the city has been under repeated drone attacks, with Russian forces using FPV drones and Molniya strike UAVs.

On New Year’s night, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, deploying 205 strike drones. Thanks to air defence efforts, most of the UAVs were intercepted.

According to the military, from 06:00 PM on December 31 through the morning of January 1, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types, launched from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea) and Donetsk. Approximately 130 of the strike drones were Shaheds.
