Russian forces shell Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka, casualties reported

Russian forces launched strikes on the cities of Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region on Sunday, February 9. As a result of the enemy shelling, at least 6 people were injured, states the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
According to the official, Kostiantynivka was hit by 4 airstrikes from Russian forces. As a result of the attack, 4 people were injured and all were taken to the hospital.
The head of the regional military administration added that information regarding the extent of the damage in the city is still being verified.
In Kramatorsk, 2 people were injured in a private house. The administration head also noted that the final consequences of the enemy shelling of the city still need to be determined.
"I once again emphasize: that it is dangerous to remain in the Donetsk region! Evacuate to safer areas!" he urged the region’s residents.
Evacuation in the Donetsk region
It should be reminded that the Donetsk region continues the evacuation of residents due to the intensification of shelling and combat operations. Evacuation trains regularly transport people to safer regions of Ukraine, where displaced individuals are provided with necessary assistance.
On February 4, the regional military administration reported that the forced evacuation of children from 12 settlements had been announced in the Donetsk region.
According to data from the end of January, around seven thousand people remained in Pokrovsk. All children have been successfully evacuated.
It was also previously reported that on February 9, in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region, occupiers attacked rescuers with an FPV drone. As a result of the shelling, one State Emergency Service employee suffered a concussion, and equipment was also damaged.
