Kherson shelling incidents
Russian occupying forces have continuously targeted Kherson, which was liberated and returned under Ukrainian control by the Armed Forces in November 2022. The city and the Kherson region were seized by Russia during the large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Some parts of the region have been reclaimed, but a portion of the territory remains occupied, subjecting Kherson to attacks by Russians using Grad rockets, artillery, and heavy weaponry.
On the morning of July 31st, Russian occupying shelled Kherson's city center, resulting in the death of a municipal worker. Later in the day, the troops struck the Korabelnyi district in Kherson, leading to the death of a local resident and injuring another person.
