Russian forces shell church in Donetsk region: Сasualty reported
In Krasnohorivka, the Donetsk region, the Russian military shelled a prayer house belonging to one of the local churches. A woman was injured in the attack and hospitalized, according to Anastasia Medvedeva, the spokesperson for the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"On September 14 at 15:30, the Russian army shelled a prayer house belonging to one of the local churches in Krasnohorivka, the Donetsk region. The shelling resulted in a fire, with the second and third floors of the building destroyed. One woman was transported to the hospital," she said.
According to the spokesperson, a 49-year-old woman was inside the building at the time of the shelling. She was in a state of shock and was taken to the hospital.
Medvedeva adds that the Russian military likely conducted the shelling on Krasnohorivka using artillery.
Shelling in Donetsk region
Towns and villages in the Donetsk region are subjected to daily shelling from Russian occupiers. Both frontline communities and those in relative rear areas of the region suffer. Recently, occupants shelled a private house in the town of Pivnichne (the Donetsk region), causing harm to a family with children.
