Russian forces reinforce defenses along road to Berdyansk: Estonian Intelligence reports
Russian forces are strengthening the defense in Tokmak and building a new line of fortifications on the road to Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Estonian intelligence.
"Except for the resonant strike on the command center deep within Crimea, relatively few new developments have occurred in the Ukraine war compared to last week," the report states.
According to intelligence sources, Ukrainian units continue to operate at a tactical level in the Zaporizhzhia region along the Orikhiv direction near the village of Robotyne.
"The Ukrainians have expanded and reinforced their foothold, pushing out to the outskirts of the villages of Novoprokopivka and Verbove. The bulk of the fighting falls on infantry, with tactical artillery support groups being well-suited for capturing fortified positions. Minefields still impede maneuvering of vehicles," added the Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center summary.

Estonian intelligence also notes that the Russians have made several local counterattacks, but they did not yield the expected results.
At the same time, Russian forces are strengthening the defense in Tokmak and constructing a new line of fortifications on the road to Berdyansk.
"In the near future, Ukrainians will still find it difficult to achieve operational success, that is, to completely cut off the overland route to Crimea," the intelligence agency stated.
Counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Zaporizhzhia region
Ukrainian military forces continue their offensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia region. Military and political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko of the Information Resistance Group believes that the liberation of Tokmak will serve as a marker for the next breakthrough by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Yesterday, the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, Oleksandr Shtupun, reported that Russian forces were reinforcing their defense in the area of Tokmak and the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Additionally, the National Resistance Center reported that Russia had started increasing the number of troops in the temporarily occupied city of Tokmak.
