Russian forces launch Iskandr-K missile strike on Kharkiv region
Russia, on Saturday, September 16, attacked the Kharkiv region with Iskander-K missiles, according to the head of the Investigative Department of the National Police of the Kharkiv region, Serhii Bovlinov.
He notes that as a result of the latest attack by Russia, buildings were damaged, five people were injured, and a seven-meter crater appeared.
"The walls are destroyed, the windows are broken, and our employees have already removed fragments of the Iskandr-K missile complex's body, the wing base, and the control mechanism," Bovlinov wrote.
According to him, the injured individuals were taken to the hospital.
Explosions in Kharkiv occurred at around 11:10 AM today, after which an air raid alert was immediately declared for the region and several other areas. At the same time, the Air Force warned of the risk of the enemy using ballistic weapons.
Impact on the industrial zone
"Indeed, today there were shelling in Kharkiv, in the industrial zone of the city. Currently, the State Emergency Service workers are on-site to contain the consequences. There are no fatalities, but there are 5 injured civilians who were working at the facility. They are currently in the hospital," said the mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
