Russian forces launch drone attack on Odesa

Explosions were heard in Odesa on the evening of May 5. Russian forces launched a drone attack on the city, according to Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
"There is a threat of using strike UAVs. Explosions are heard in part of the city. Odesa, please remain in safe locations!" Trukhanov wrote.
According to him, the explosions were heard in the city center, Kyivskyi and Peresypskyi districts.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of several groups of enemy drones in the Black Sea in the direction of the southern part of the Odesa region.
May 5 attack on Ukraine
Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine during the night of May 5, coming from four directions. A total of 116 drones and ballistic missiles were used.
According to the Air Force, starting at 11:00 p.m. on May 4, Russia fired two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk region targeting the Sumy region.
Additionally, Russian forces launched 116 strike drones and decoy UAVs from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Prymorsk in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down 42 Shahed-type drones and other UAVs over the east, north, and south of the country. Another 21 enemy decoy drones were lost from radar tracking without causing damage.
Sumy and Donetsk regions suffered as a result of the attack.
