Russian forces especially active in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions - General Staff

The frontline situation on September 19 is marked by significant Russian activity in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. The enemy is deploying all available forces and resources to achieve their objectives. Since the beginning of the day, 95 battles have taken place, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
According to the General Staff, several settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions were affected by enemy attacks throughout the day.
Artillery shelling targeted Mykolaiivka, Bobylivka, Riasne, Prohres, Zhuravka, and Vilna Sloboda. Airstrikes hit Yastrubyne, Pavlivka, Kekyne, Rudneve, Richky, and Velyka Rybytsia.
Additionally, the enemy conducted 11 airstrikes on the Kursk region, using 14 guided aerial bombs (KABs).
Situation in the directions
Today, in the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army made one attempt to storm Ukrainian defensive positions near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy actively attacked Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, and Hlushkivka four times, with one clash ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders conducted seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Makiivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske, and Torske. Five clashes ended in failure for the enemy, with two ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks by the occupation army near Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Dariivka, and Vyiimka, with four attacks still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Kurdiumivka. The attack was repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, the number of enemy attacks increased to seven. The enemy focused their efforts around Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka, with four clashes taking place, and three attacks still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russia, with air support, has made 22 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novotoretsk, Hrodivka, Myrolyubivka, Mykolayivka, Novohrodivka, and Marynivka. Defensive forces are holding the line, having repelled 16 enemy attacks, with six still ongoing. Enemy losses are being clarified.
Fighting continues near Tsukuryne, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka in the Kurakhove direction. According to updated information, 13 out of 36 enemy attacks in this area have been repelled today. Fierce battles are ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy, with air support, made four attempts to storm Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar, Rivnopil, and Katerynivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army made three attempts to attack Ukrainian positions near Pyatykhatky and towards Novoandriivka. Russia also shelled Kamianske with unguided aerial rockets.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted an airstrike on the area of Mykolaiivka in the Kherson region. Russia continues to attempt to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions, with three attacks today, and one clash ongoing.
Situation on the front and Russian losses
According to the General Staff, during the past day, September 18, there were 187 clashes along the frontline. The most active attacks by the Russian forces are occurring in the Pokrovsk direction and the Kurakhove direction.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia's losses in personnel amount to approximately 638,140 soldiers.
During the past day, September 18, the Russians lost an additional 1,130 personnel. Additionally, the Defense Forces destroyed 14 tanks, 13 armored combat vehicles, 23 artillery systems, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and other enemy equipment.
