Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 19

In the past 24 hours on September 18, there were 187 battles along the front line, with the enemy actively targeting their villages and towns in the Kursk region using guided aerial bombs (GABs), according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two command posts, three areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, as well as one other important target," the General Staff reported.
Situation across various directions
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched two assaults near the settlements of Vovchansk and Tykhe.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked 15 times. Assault actions near Synkivka, Kruhliakivka, Stelmakhivka, and Pishchane were repelled.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces carried out 18 attacks, attempting to breach the defense lines near Druzheliubivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske, Makiivka, Novosadove, and Bilohorivka.
In the Siversk direction, three assault attempts near Verkhnokamianske and Ivano-Daryivka were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attacked four times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 12 attacks near Dachne, Nelipivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, forty-six assaults and offensive actions by the aggressor towards Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Krasnyi Yar, and other locations were stopped, with the highest concentration of attacks near Novohrodivka.
In the Kurakhove direction, forty attacks were repelled, with the most intense enemy efforts aimed at advancing near Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka.
In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces attacked seven times near Katerynivka, Bohoyavlenka, Solodke, and Zolota Nyva, heavily relying on assault and bomber aviation.
In the Huliaipole direction, the invaders unsuccessfully attacked near Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupying forces launched five assaults on Defense Forces positions near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian forces carried out five unsuccessful attacks.
Operations are ongoing in the Kursk region. Enemy aviation continues to level its own villages and towns. Over the past 24 hours, Russian aircraft conducted 19 airstrikes with 39 KABs on their own territory, according to the General Staff.
Russian losses in war
The Pokrovsk direction has been the most active on the front over the past months, recording the highest number of clashes. Recently, the intensity of battles has also sharply increased on the Kurakhove front.
