Russian soldiers continue attempts to advance in the Kupiansk direction, changing their tactics, according to the National Guard of Ukraine.

"Despite their losses, the enemy is trying to change tactics: using anti-thermal cloaks, advancing in small groups, and massing in the gray zone," the National Guard said.

Ukrainian troops also noted an increase in enemy drone activity in this area. Additionally, Russia has been attempting more strikes on logistical routes.

The National Guard added that drone units of the 15th Brigade Kara-Dag operate around the clock, targeting enemy infantry, communication equipment, electronic warfare systems, and shelters.

Ukrainian successes near Kupiansk

On Saturday, August 30, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces Dnipro, told RBC-Ukraine that Ukrainian defenders had liberated the village of Myrne near Kupiansk from Russian forces.

By controlling Myrne, Russian forces were able to dominate the roads leading to Kupiansk.

A few weeks ago, Russian troops made their first tank assault on Kupiansk in a long time, which Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled.
