Russian forces carried out 14 shelling attacks in Sumy region, with 54 explosions recorded
On June 7, the Russian army carried out 14 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in the Sumy region. As of 9:00 PM, 54 explosions were recorded, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The shelling affected the communities of Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Znob-Novhorodska, Shalyhyne, Esman, and Velyka Pysarivka.
For each of these communities, the Sumy Regional Military Administration specified the exact number of explosions.
- Bilopillia community: artillery shelling (5 explosions);
- Krasnopillia community: enemy fired from mortars (6 explosions) and artillery (14 explosions);
- Znob-Novgorodska community: mortar shelling (2 explosions);
- Shalyhyne community: mortar (4 explosions) and artillery (11 explosions) shelling recorded;
- Esman community: attack by FPV drone (1 explosion) and mortar shelling (2 explosions);
- Velyka Pysarivka community: the enemy dropped 3 mines on the community's territory and carried out artillery shelling (6 explosions).
Explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea during the night of June 7-8. Before this, warnings were issued about the threat of attacks by attack drones.
Earlier, it was reported that according to the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, Ukraine should be given the right to strike Russian territory with Western weapons without distance limitations.
