Russian soldiers attempted to break into the village of Dobropillia in the Zaporizhzhia region. However, the enemy did not succeed, according to the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment of the Ukrainian Ground Forces on Facebook.

"The enemy advanced in a full truck of 'disposable Russians' with the intention of reaching a deployment point from which it planned to assault the village of Dobropillia. However, fighters of the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment, together with adjacent units, stood in its way," the unit said in a statement.

As a result of close coordination between the Ukrainian defenders and swift decision-making, the Russian troops were left with no chance.

The video shows that the truck carrying the Russian soldiers was first struck by a drone. Artillery and additional drones then targeted those soldiers who remained alive.

The regiment added that the attempted Russian breakthrough was also helped to be repelled by the 1st Separate Assault Regiment.

Fake about Dobropillia

In early December last year, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted Russian propaganda claims about the alleged capture of the village of Dobropillia near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the military command, the Russian forces’ information about establishing control over the village does not correspond to reality.

In fact, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group, taking advantage of difficult weather conditions, managed only to infiltrate the outskirts of the settlement, but it was detected and eliminated by Ukrainian units.
