What preceded this

An explosion occurred in Zaporizhzhia yesterday evening during an air alert declared for the Zaporizhzhia region.

Shortly before this, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a threat of ballistic strikes by Russia.

Earlier reports also indicated that Zaporizhzhia had been subjected to missile strikes on August 27, when the enemy launched ballistic missiles from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
