Russian forces launched attacks on Ukraine overnight using various types of strike drones. Thanks to the air defense systems, the majority of enemy targets were successfully destroyed, reports the Ukrainian Air Force.

"On the night of December 15, the enemy attacked with 153 strike drones, including Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other unmanned aerial vehicles from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, Shatalovo in Russia, and Chauda and Hvardiyske in the temporarily occupied Crimea," the Air Force stated.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Preliminary data as of 9:00 AM Kyiv time indicate that air defenses shot down or suppressed 133 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine. Additionally, 17 strike drones hit 10 locations.

"The attack continues, with several enemy drones still in the airspace. Please follow safety rules," the Ukrainian Air Force added.

Night attack on Ukraine on December 15

Earlier reports stated that on the night of December 15, Russian forces carried out another massive attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region, using Shahed drones and multiple rocket launchers.

In the Synelnykove district, the occupiers targeted the Mykolaiv community with strike drones. Explosions caused fires, and damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded.

Enemy shelling of energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region has also caused significant delays for several trains, including international routes. Some local trains, particularly on the Dnipro–Kryvyi Rih line, are expected to be delayed by 3–4 hours.
