Russian drones strike 3 Ukrainian trains in one day

A Russian drone attacked a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region after it had been stopped in advance due to the threat. The passengers were evacuated in time, but one railway worker was killed. A suburban diesel train was also attacked in the Sumy region, according to Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian Railways.
Strike on the Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia train
According to Pertsovskyi, the Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia regional train was hit. The train was stopped after threats were detected, and the passengers were evacuated.
Contact could not be established with one of the conductors. According to preliminary information, she returned to the train during the evacuation.
"The enemy seeks to kill. We must act in a coordinated and responsible manner to resist this terror," Pertsovskyi said.
The State Emergency Service published footage from the scene where the aftermath of the Russian attack was being dealt with. It said that one of the electric train cars caught fire as a result of the strike. About half an hour later, Russian forces carried out a second strike on the train, after which another car caught fire. A railway worker was killed in the attack.

Another attack
Another suburban diesel train was attacked in the Sumy region. It was also stopped in advance, and the passengers were evacuated.
According to preliminary information, some people were not far enough away from the train and suffered shrapnel wounds. The train crew provided first aid, after which medics arrived.
What should passengers do?
Ukrainian Railways urged passengers in frontline areas to follow instructions during stops and evacuations. If a shelter is available, they should go there immediately. If there is no shelter, they should move more than 200 meters away from the train.
"These rules are written in blood. But there is absolutely no need to add more blood," Pertsovskyi said.
According to him, trains can usually be stopped in advance when there is a threat. During an evacuation, it is important to strictly follow the instructions of railway employees.
