During the night of January 29, Russia attacked Ukraine with 105 attack drones from various directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 84 enemy UAVs, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

From 6 pm on January 28 until the morning of January 29, the Russians launched 105 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and UAVs of other types from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), the temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 70 of them were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 08:30 am, air defense shot down/suppressed 84 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and drones of other types in the north, south, center, and east of the country.

Impacts from 18 attack drones were recorded at 7 locations.

“The attack is ongoing, several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” the Air Force warned.

Attacks on Ukraine

On the night of January 29, Russia once again attacked several Ukrainian cities. In Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region, people were killed, houses were destroyed, and fires broke out.

Overnight, Odesa once again came under a drone attack. According to the head of the Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, an infrastructure facility was damaged in the city.

The Russians also directed drones at Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the enemy strikes, a single-story building and two passenger cars were damaged in the city. There were also consequences of the attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On the night of January 28, Russia launched one ballistic missile and 146 drones of various types at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 130 enemy UAVs.
