Russian drones attack on southern Ukraine: Fires erupt, damage reported
On the night of December 11, Russia attacked southern Ukraine with 18 kamikaze drones. All Shaheds were shot down, but due to falling debris, there is damage, according to the Southern Defense Forces and the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim.
It is known that the Russian occupiers released 18 Shaheds from the territory of the occupied Crimea. The southern regions were under attack. Air defense forces shot down 13 drones in the Mykolaiv region, 3 in the Kherson region, and 2 in the Odesa region.
In the Mykolaiv region, there is damage due to falling debris from the downed drones:
- a private house was damaged in Ochakiv;
- a fire broke out in a warehouse with agricultural machinery in the Kutsurubska community and was extinguished;
- in Snihurivka, an empty warehouse on the territory of an agricultural enterprise caught fire.
According to the Regional Military Administration, no one was injured in the attack.
Night attack on Ukraine
Yesterday evening, the Air Force reported about the launch of Shaheds by the Russians. Explosions rang out in the Mykolaiv region. Ukrainian military shot down all 18 drones. There were no direct hits.
The Russians also tried to attack Kyiv at night. The invaders, originally from the Briansk region, fired 8 ballistic missiles. Air defense forces worked in Kyiv and the region. All enemy missiles were destroyed.
However, there is damage in two districts of the capital due to falling debris. Four people were injured.
