During the night of November 4, Russian drones attacked the Odesa region in two waves. The occupiers targeted the region’s port and energy infrastructure, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, and DTEK.

“During the night of November 4, the region suffered two waves of massive drone strikes. Despite the active work of air defense forces, which destroyed most enemy targets, there were hits on civilian port and energy infrastructure facilities,” the statement said.

As a result of the strikes, fires broke out, road surfaces, industrial facilities, and energy equipment were damaged. Emergency services quickly extinguished the fires.

According to preliminary information, there were no deaths or injuries.

Strike on DTEK energy facility

According to the energy company DTEK, one of the strikes hit the company’s energy facility in the region. The damage was significant, and repair work will take time.

“Our energy workers will begin restoration work immediately after receiving permission from the military and rescuers,” the company said.

During the night, air raid alerts were declared twice in the Odesa region due to drone attacks.

The first alert sounded on November 3 at 11:58 p.m. local time and lasted until 1:03 a.m. local time. At that time, residents of the Izmail district reported at least four explosions.

The second air raid alert sounded at 2:25 a.m., after which a series of explosions was again heard near Izmail. The all-clear was announced at 3:23.

Strikes on the Odesa region

The Odesa region is systematically under attack by Russian drones and missiles. Almost every night, the enemy launches strikes, mainly from the waters of the Black Sea.

As a reminder, during the night of November 2, as a result of another enemy attack on Odesa region, five trucks burned down, and two people were killed.

Earlier, during the night of October 29, the occupiers again struck the region — an energy facility belonging to DTEK was damaged, and one worker was injured. About 30,000 homes were left without electricity at that time.

Before that, Russians also attacked the region with drones: energy infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, a hotel, and apartment blocks were damaged, and there were casualties.
