A Russian drone attacked a humanitarian aid station in the Sumy region during the distribution of aid. The strike resulted in injuries, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Today, on May 20, Russian troops struck a place of humanitarian aid distribution to civilians with a drone in the village of Velyka Pysarivka, Okhtyrka district, Sumy region.

Reportedly, a 57-year-old man was wounded in the Russian strike and hospitalized.

Another 51-year-old resident was provided with medical assistance without hospitalization.

Criminal proceedings were opened over the attack under the article on war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Investigators of the Okhtyrka District Police Department, together with the Prosecutor's Office, are documenting the circumstances and consequences of the Russian attack.

Russian attack on Sumy region

On the night of May 20, Russians attacked Bilopillia and Yunakivka communities in the Sumy region with drones and bombs. A large-scale fire broke out at one of the civilian facilities.

According to the Sumy regional police, the Russians attacked the town of Bilopillia. As a result of the Russian strike, a government building and pavilions at the local market caught fire.
