Russian drone crashes at Kyiv gas station: Casualties reported

Medical personnel were called to the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv.

"In the Holosiivskyi district, a drone crashed onto the grounds of a gas station. The fire and a vehicle fire were quickly extinguished. Three people were injured," Klitschko wrote.

He also added that medical personnel had already arrived and were providing the necessary assistance to those affected.

Today at approximately 9:33 a.m., the mayor reported that a Russian drone had crashed in the Holosiivskyi district.

At that time, there were no reports of casualties or injuries. Klitschko also noted that no fire broke out on this occasion.

"In the Holosiivskyi district, a non-residential building was damaged as a result of a Russian crash," the mayor reported this morning.

At 11:33 a.m., Serhii Fedorenko, head of Naftogaz, clarified that a Russian jet-powered Shahed drone had attacked a Ukrnafta gas station.

He emphasized that the Russian strike had no military purpose whatsoever, but was merely an act of sheer Russian terror and an attempt to intimidate people.

"In accordance with safety regulations, the gas station complex was not operating at the time of the air raid alert. Staff and customers evacuated the premises. Unfortunately, there are reports of casualties among people who were near the gas station," Fedorenko stated.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the Russian strike caused a passenger car to catch fire and damaged a public transportation stop. In addition, a fire broke out in an 8-story non-residential building.

After a second Russian strike, diesel generators caught fire.

Rescue workers quickly extinguished all the fires.

At 11:43 a.m., Klitschko stated that 4 people were currently known to have been injured as a result of the Russian drone strike on the gas station in Kyiv.

"Three of the injured were hospitalized," he added.
