A Russian FPV drone attacked a vehicle of Ukrainian snipers in the Kharkiv region. The armor saved the defenders’ lives, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, an enemy FPV drone with fiber-optic control hit the vehicle of the Pomsta snipers from the 3rd Border Detachment named after Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Pikus in the Kharkiv region.

The Russian drone flew straight into the defenders’ vehicle. Fortunately, the armor held, and the border guards survived.

The snipers also showed the aftermath of the enemy drone attack.

Situation in the Kharkiv region

Fighting in the Kharkiv region is ongoing in two front directions — Kupiansk and Kharkiv (in the northern part of the region). Russian forces launched an offensive north of Kharkiv in May of last year.

Currently, in the Kharkiv direction, fighting is taking place in two areas, including near the city of Vovchansk. Over the past day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded three enemy attacks there.

The National Guard reported that the Russian army is amassing personnel near the border with the Kharkiv region, indicating preparations for assaults.
