Over the last day, May 21, 164 combat engagements were registered on the frontline. Russia attacked in 12 sectors, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Over the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 9 areas where Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated," Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Russia tried to attack 3 times in the area of Vovchansk and the direction of Stroivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russia attacked in the area of Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 30 times in the areas of Kopanky, Ridkodub, Novyi Myr, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, and Torske.
In the Siversk sector, Russia tried to advance in the area of Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked 6 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, and the direction of Predtechyno and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia conducted 14 attacks in the areas of Druzhba, Petrivka, and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 44 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Yablunivka, Novoolenivka, Malynivka, Shevchenko Pershe, and other localities.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Russia carried out 33 attacks in the areas of Vilne Pole, Pryvilne, Zelene Pole, Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Burlatske, Vesele, and in the direction of Odradne.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 2 Russian assault attacks in the area of Vysoke.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces twice advanced on Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka and Mali Shcherbaky.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russia tried to advance once.
In the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 13 Russian assaults.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
