Russian drone attack on Kyiv: Damage reported, no casualties
On the night of January 31, Russian occupiers once again attempted to attack Kyiv with drones. In one of the districts, debris was recorded falling, damaging the balcony of an apartment in a multi-story building, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"In Obolon, according to preliminary data, debris from a UAV caused broken windows and damaged a balcony in one of the apartments in a multi-story building," the statement reads.
Klitschko also informed that rescue workers and medics were already on the scene. As of now, there are no reported casualties.
Russia’s drone attacks
As a reminder, about an hour ago, a series of explosions were heard in Kyiv. The sounds were heard amid a Russian drone attack.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that last night, the Russian army launched 81 strike drones across Ukraine. Air defense forces were active in 10 regions of the country.
As a result of repelling the enemy attack, as of 09:00 Kyiv time, 37 UAVs were shot down. Another 39 drones were lost locally without causing negative consequences.
However, the enemy still managed to strike a multi-story building in Sumy. As a result of the attack, there were fatalities and injuries. More details on this can be found in RBC-Ukraine's report.
