Russian drone attack hits Zaporizhzhia: Consequences revealed

On the night of June 18, 2025, at least 13 enemy drones attacked Zaporizhzhia, causing extensive damage, states Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
On the night of June 18, Zaporizhzhia was once again struck by Russian forces. According to preliminary reports, the enemy used thirteen drones to attack the regional center.
As a result of the strike, three fires broke out, covering areas of 100, 300, and 800 square meters.
Shrapnel and the blast wave damaged residential buildings, with many windows shattered. Several private cars were also destroyed.
“Windows shattered in apartment buildings, burnt-out cars, fires in warehouse facilities — Zaporizhzhia is recovering after the drone strike,” Ivan Fedorov’s post said.
As of this morning, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries. Rescue teams are working to clear the aftermath of the strike, while local authorities are documenting the damage.
Attacks on Zaporizhzhia
On the night of June 17, Russia also struck Zaporizhzhia, damaging a multi-story residential building and a dormitory.
There was also a direct missile strike on the Zaporizhzhia Factory of Non-ferrous Metals (ZFNM) operated by Electro Cable Group.
