Russian diplomatic head summoned over missile flight across Polish airspace
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland has summoned Russia's Chargé d'Affaires, Andrei Ordash, on the carpet. This action comes after a Russian missile violated Poland's airspace, according to the press service of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As the department noted, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, summoned Ordash.
The official handed a protest note to the Russian diplomat, demanding explanations regarding the incident of airspace violation by a winged missile in the country.
Poland emphasized that such actions must cease.
What preceded
Today, on December 29, Russian occupiers launched over 150 aerial targets over Ukraine, including missiles.
During the attack, it was revealed that an unknown object violated Poland's airspace. Later, it was determined to be a Russian missile.
Due to the incident, President Andrzej Duda convened an emergency meeting with military officials in the country.
According to Major General Maciej Klisz, commander of the Polish Operational Forces, the missile was present in the country's airspace for approximately 3 minutes.
