An unidentified object entered the airspace of Poland during the morning attack by Russia on Ukraine, remaining there for about 3 minutes, says General Maciej Klisz, Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces.

According to him, the missile flew approximately 40 kilometers into Polish territory, and its trajectory was monitored using radars.

Poland also stated that they decided to track the missile's flight trajectory on the ground. However, they noted that "it is only a technique that needs to be treated with caution."

"The option I propose from a military point of view is for the missile to leave Poland. The object was in Poland for less than 3 minutes, about 40 km of airspace violation. It was tracked along the entire flight trajectory," said Klisz.

Later, Polsat News reported, based on unofficial information, that the missile that entered Polish territory could have been the X-22 or X-101. The missile was supposed to fly along the Polish border and violate the country's airspace.

Background

The Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland reported in the morning about the violation of airspace by an unidentified object during Russia's terrorist attack on Ukraine.

As noted by the spokesperson for the Air Force, Yurii Ihnat, the violation of airspace is a signal to allies about the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

In Poland, it was speculated that Russian forces might intentionally conduct operations or shelling near the Ukrainian-Polish border since there are no troop concentrations there.
