Russian forces carried out another terrorist attack on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. A logistics facility in the Odesa region came under attack, states Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

Consequences of the attack in the Odesa region

According to Kuleba, the enemy continues its targeted terror against the civilian population and civilian infrastructure. Two ballistic missiles with a cluster warhead were launched at the Odesa region.

The target of the attack was an infrastructure facility that provides critical logistics for the region. As a result of the strike, eight road workers were injured, two of them are in serious condition.

"These are people who ensured the operation of the transport network and carried out their daily duties," Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized.

All relevant services are working at the site of the strikes, mitigation efforts are ongoing, and the injured are receiving necessary medical care.

Strike on an enterprise in Kyiv region

The minister added that earlier today, in the middle of the day, the Russian army attacked a company in the Kyiv region specializing in the production of dairy products for children.

As a result of the attack, four people were killed, and seven others sustained injuries of varying severity.

In addition, unique road equipment used at the facility in Ukraine was damaged.

Attacks on Ukraine and air defense operations

In recent times, Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity of strikes on Ukrainian territory. In particular, on the night of June 5, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and a record number of drones.

The enemy launched two guided air missiles and 216 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, of which air defense units managed to shoot down 198 targets.

Despite the increasing density of attacks, the effectiveness of Ukraine’s missile and air defense systems during mass strikes in May reached 90.75%. In particular, air defenders intercepted more than 91% of enemy Shahed drones and other decoy UAVs.

In addition to strikes on critical and logistics infrastructure, the occupying forces are also deliberately targeting civilian specialists.

On June 4, an enemy drone attacked special road equipment used by road workers carrying out reconstruction work to support humanitarian and defense needs. As a result of that attack, 10 units of equipment were destroyed, but the workers were not injured.
