Russian Central Bank paralyzed by Ukrainian hackers, sources
The Central Bank of Russia, which finances the armed aggression against Ukraine, has become a target of Ukrainian hackers. The attack on the financial institution is intensifying, according to the RBC-Ukraine's sources in the special services.
The sources say that since around 11:00 local time, the resources of the Central Bank of Russia have been either significantly disrupted or completely unavailable to users. The financial institution acknowledges the cyberattack and notes that "the intensity of the attack is increasing."
Additionally, Russian users cannot use the online services of Zenit Bank and Gazprombank. The lack of stable internet complicates the situation, as Russian largest telecommunications service providers are also experiencing systematic cyberattacks. Specifically, the attack is targeting MTS, whose users have been unable to utilize services for the third day in full.
Sources add that the operation against the financial institutions of the aggressor state continues.
