The Russian army is applying significant pressure on Ukrainian defenders on the Lyman front. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces not only repelled the attacks but also destroyed a Russian BAT-2 heavy military engineering vehicle for the first time, informs the operational-strategic group of troops Khortytsia.

According to the report, Russian occupiers continue to attempt to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Lyman front. Specifically, the Russians are continuing their assault with infantry and armored vehicles on the defensive positions of Ukrainian defenders.

However, Ukrainian drones are destroying the enemy's weapons and armored vehicles.

"In recent days, FPV drone operators have successfully destroyed a large amount of enemy equipment: MT-LB, two trucks, a gun, a van, a motorcycle, and for the first time, a bulldozer and tracklayer BAT-2," said Khortytsia OSGT representative.

The impressive work of Ukrainian soldiers was demonstrated by the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. The video shows how drone operators precisely destroy enemy equipment.

Heavy military engineering vehicle BAT-2

The BAT-2 is a Soviet bulldozer and tracklayer based on the MT-T tractor. It was developed at the Kharkiv Engineering Design Bureau and was produced in limited quantities. The abbreviation BAT stands for "bulldozer on an artillery tractor."

The BAT-2 is designed for mechanizing engineering tasks in road construction, preparation, and maintenance of military roads. It is used for various purposes:

  • Moving soil for creating crossings over ravines and ditches;
  • Creating ramps for crossings;
  • Clearing the route from bushes, trees, stumps, snow, and stones;
  • Creating passages through debris, forests, and settlements;
  • Laying roadblocks.

Ukrainian soldiers successes

Recently, in the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a several-hour assault by Russian forces using armored vehicles. The Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled the attack with the help of artillery and strike FPV drones. Infantry units managed to destroy enemy armored vehicles, including an armored personnel carrier (APC), MT-LB, and tanks.

On February 19, it was reported that Ukrainian forces delivered a precise strike on a Russian ammunition depot in Donetsk. As a result of the operation, the Russian occupiers suffered significant losses, including the destruction of a cannon, a vehicle, and the ammunition depot.

The day before, Ukrainian troops destroyed the North Korean Koksan artillery system for the first time. The enemy unit was destroyed in the Luhansk region by the fighters of the 412th Separate Drone Systems Regiment, Nemesis.
