Russian attack plunges Chuhuiv into blackout

The enemy struck a critical infrastructure facility in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, leaving parts of the city without power, according to a Telegram post by Chuhuiv Mayor Halyna Minaieva.
"About half an hour ago, an explosion was heard in Chuhuiv, leaving the city temporarily without electricity. The circumstances are currently being investigated, and measures are being taken to address the situation," the mayor initially reported.
Later, the full extent of the consequences of the Russian night attack on the Kharkiv region became clear.
"According to updated information, the enemy struck a critical infrastructure facility, leaving approximately 13,300 subscribers without electricity," Minaieva wrote.
She also stated that all measures are currently being taken to restore power in Chuhuiv. Work is expected to be completed in approximately two to three hours.
The Air Force had warned overnight about groups of UAVs heading toward Chuhuiv, and regarding the Kharkiv region as a whole — a threat of guided aerial bombs was also reported.
Attacks on Chuhuiv
As is known, Russian forces have struck Chuhuiv before — the last reported attack was at the end of June, when a civilian enterprise building caught fire.
In May of this year, a strike on Chuhuiv resulted in both fatalities and injuries.
