Russian attack on Kyiv: Number of wounded increases, 6-year-old among killed

At least six people, including a child, were killed in a massive strike on Kyiv. More than 80 people were injured, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv city military administration.
"6 killed, 82 injured so far. 44 in hospitals. A 6-year-old boy died in an ambulance; he could not be saved. At least 10 children were wounded, 5 of whom are in hospitals. This was done by the Russians. A 5-month-old girl was wounded — she was hit by the Russians. The data is not final," Tkachenko says.
He also notes that there are over a hundred damaged objects in the city. Residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, and a university are among them.
"This is where the Russians are striking. A direct rocket hit destroyed the entrance to a nine-story building in the Sviatoshinsky district. Once again. That's Russia's style," says the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
He notes that all necessary services are once again operating in areas where Russians are destroying Ukrainian people and homes with their missiles and drones.
"All the volunteers and organizations that were there after the previous attacks are back on site. It's a difficult day, but we will overcome and break through. We will overcome fatigue, death, and Russian aggression," Tkachenko concludes.
Russian night attack on Kyiv
On the night of July 31, Kyiv suffered a large-scale combined Russian strike with missiles and suicide drones, causing significant damage in various parts of the city.
The residential areas of Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv were the most affected. Russian missile strikes hit residential buildings directly, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries among the civilian population.
Traffic restrictions have also been introduced in the city—several streets and avenues have been closed, and trolleybus service on route No. 27 has been reduced to Domobudivnyi Kombinat No. 3.
Despite the scale of the destruction and casualties, rescue services are working to free those trapped, assist the victims, and restore vital communications.
Meanwhile, energy companies are already restoring the power supply in the affected areas.
