Russian attack on Kyiv kills one, injures others

On the morning of September 23, Russians launched new attacks on Kyiv, killing one civilian and injuring eight others, according to the capital's mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
As of 10:30 a.m. Kyiv time, the number of casualties had risen to 8.
He also confirmed that one of the wounded could not be saved.
"One of the wounded, who was hospitalized in critical condition, died in the hospital," Klitschko says.

He also notes that four victims are currently being treated in city hospitals.
"Russian drone attack on Kyiv is ongoing. Stay in safe places!" the mayor urges.
At 11:07 a.m., the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported that a 42-year-old man had died in the capital after being injured in a Russian drone strike on a gas station. The incident occurred in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.

The final number of casualties and the consequences of the Russian strikes are currently being determined.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

In the morning, Klitschko reported that in the Solomianskyi district, debris from a Russian drone fell in an area between residential buildings. Additionally, following the Russian attack, a fire broke out on the premises of a transportation company there.
In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out in some warehouse facilities. Additionally, a drone strike on a gas station was recorded.

A drone also crashed into a four-story business center.
In the Darnytskyi district, a transport infrastructure facility was hit. In addition, the roof of a gas station caught fire as a result of the Russian attack.

Emergency services are currently working at the sites of the Russian strikes.
