Russian army damaged the premises of the Lithuanian consulate in Kherson with shelling. This brutality must stop, states Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys on Twitter (X).
Budrys showed the aftermath of the Russian shelling of the Lithuanian consulate, noting that this was Russia's "New Year's greeting."

The photo clearly shows that the Russian forces damaged the facade of the building as well as the room housing the consulate.
"Such brutality and destruction must end. We must provide Ukraine with more air defense& other capabilities it needs for victory," the minister emphasized.
Shelling of Kherson
Russian forces regularly shell the civilian infrastructure of Kherson. They use their artillery, drones, and more for this purpose.
In particular, on January 2, it became known that the Russian army struck a taxi in Kherson. As a result of the attack, three people were injured.
The victims were taken to the hospital, where they received medical assistance.
