The Russian army is transferring air defense systems to the military airfield in Dzhankoy. The activity follows recent successful strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the airfield, according to the ATESH partisan movement.

A movement agent reported the movement of the BUK surface-to-air missile system towards the Dzhankoy airfield.

"The additional air defense system deployments are related to the low effectiveness of the Russian air defense system, which is unable to cope with modern missiles used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the statement said.

Strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on occupied Crimea

In April, the Defense Forces launched missile strikes on the Dzhankoy airfield, resulting in a massive fire at the impact site.

It later became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had hit the Russian air defense systems. A command post was also attacked.

After the strike, the Russian army began experiencing logistics problems.

Recently, ATESH partisans reported the placement of radar stations near Dzhankoy, covering the airfield.
