Russian army attempted to break through defense in Pokrovsk direction - General Staff

Throughout the day on July 25, there were 126 combat engagements on the front line. Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defense lines 31 times in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the evening report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has conducted 66 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, dropping 105 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the Russian forces deployed 430 kamikaze drones and carried out over 3,400 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Frontline Situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked the defensive lines of the Ukrainian Defense Forces nine times near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and Tykhe. Seven battles have concluded, with two still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted eight offensive assaults near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Stelmakhivka, and Stepova Novoselivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks, with two still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 12 times near Makiivka and Nevske, as well as in the Serebrianske Forestry area. Nine attacks were repelled, and three are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted five enemy attacks in the areas of Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, and Mykolaivka. One engagement is still ongoing. The situation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out 13 offensive actions near Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Maiske, and Hryhorivka. The Defense Forces repelled nine attacks, with four still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, Russians attacked Ukrainian forces eight times near Zalizne, New York, and Pivnichne. Seven battles have concluded, and one engagement is still ongoing.
The highest activity from Russian forces was observed in the Pokrovsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, the Russian army attempted 31 times to break through Ukrainian defenses near settlements, including Oleksandropil, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Tymofiivka, Ivanivka, Vesele, Novoselivka Persha, and Yasnobrodivka. The Defense Forces repelled 18 attacks, with 13 still ongoing. The enemy is focusing efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Vesele.
"According to updated information, today in this direction, 201 soldiers were neutralized, 68 of them permanently. Additionally, a 2A36 Hyacinth-B gun, five UAVs of various types, and 10 vehicles were destroyed. Moreover, a 2S1 Gvozdika artillery system, a D-30 howitzer, a 2B11 mortar, and two vehicles were damaged," the report states.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 15 times near Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, and Paraskoviivka. Twelve attacks were repelled, and three are still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out 13 offensive actions near Kostyantynivka, Vodiane, Velyka Novosilka, and Rozdolne. Ukrainian defenders halted 10 enemy assaults, with three battles still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army launched four attacks near Mala Tokmachka, Yurkyvka, Novoandriivka, and Shcherbaky. As a result of the clashes, they suffered losses.
In the Pryndiprovsk direction, the enemy's efforts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions on the left bank of the Dnieper also proved unsuccessful.
In other directions, the situation has not seen significant changes.
Additionally, at the end of the report, the General Staff commended the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade soldiers named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa for their effective destruction of the enemy, inflicting substantial losses in personnel and equipment.
On July 24, 125 combat engagements were reported on the front. The enemy focused on five directions in the Donetsk region.
Earlier, it was reported that enemy losses totaled 1,230 soldiers in the past day. Additionally, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 11 tanks, 26 armored combat vehicles, and 45 artillery systems.
