In the evening of August 29, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. As a result of the attack, one of the city’s enterprises was damaged, according to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, initially reported that Russian forces had targeted the city with strike drones. Later, an explosion was heard in the city, and Fedorov confirmed that it was a Russian attack.

"A building was damaged, and a fire broke out at one of Zaporizhzhia’s industrial enterprises. These are the consequences of the enemy strike on the regional center. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties," he wrote.

Fedorov also shared photos of the fire following the Russian attack.

On the evening of August 29, Russian forces again launched strike drones over Ukraine. Air raid alerts were announced in several regions due to the UAV threat.

On the night of August 28, Russian forces carried out one of the largest combined attacks on Kyiv. The strike caused destruction across all districts of the capital, marking the first time this has happened since the full-scale war began. In the Darnytskyi district, a multi-story building was destroyed, resulting in dozens of deaths.
