Russian army attacks rescuers clearing aftermath of earlier attack in Sumy region
Rescuers came under repeated shelling by the Russian forces while responding to the aftermath of an attack in the Sumy region, according to the State Emergency Service.
The State Emergency Service reported that rescuers responded to a call in the Krolevets community. A drone attack had damaged a farm building, causing a fire.
Rescuers quickly localized the blaze and prevented it from spreading.
However, they heard the sound of another enemy drone during their work. Shortly afterward, a Shahed struck near the site of the previous attack. Fortunately, the rescuers managed to retreat to a safe distance in time.
The fire at the scene was extinguished. Preliminary reports indicate that no people were injured.
On the night of December 22, air defense forces in the Sumy region were active against enemy drones. The attack caused a fire and resulted in damage.
