Russian army amassing forces for assaults near Kurakhove
Russian forces are amassing forces for assaults in the Kurakhove direction. The enemy has begun using anti-thermal cloaks more frequently at night, according to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops, during a national telethon broadcast.
"They move in small groups, trying to take hold of buildings and bypass urban areas on the outskirts. It's important to understand that while they advance in small groups, there are many of them overall," Trehubov explained.
According to him, the Russian army is attempting to amass forces to improve their tactical position. At the same time, enemy artillery is targeting Ukrainian positions in Kurakhove but mostly ends up destroying empty buildings, as Ukrainian soldiers are aware of the enemy's plans.
The spokesperson added that a total of 31 combat engagements were recorded in the Kurakhove direction over the past day. The enemy is trying to penetrate the combat formations of Ukrainian forces in the urban areas of Kurakhove and the areas of Daleke, Dachne, and Uspenivka.
