Two explosions were heard in Sloviansk on Thursday morning after Russian forces dropped guided aerial bombs on the city. The attack killed and injured civilians and damaged residential buildings, a business, and a diplomatic mission, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

How many people were affected

Five people were killed in the morning strike on Sloviansk.

Another nine people were injured. The casualty figures may be updated.

The Russian bombs destroyed ten private homes. A business and the premises of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia were also damaged.

"The Russians attack our cities every day, and for the second day in a row their attacks have caused numerous casualties in Sloviansk. Staying here is dangerous!" Filashkin added.

On July 12, a Russian drone struck a fuel truck at a gas station in Sloviansk.

On July 23, the enemy carried out a guided aerial bomb strike on Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging a food industry enterprise. That attack also left people dead and dozens injured.
